Paper Bird is a small game. We built it to be played, not to collect data. Here is exactly what happens to your information.
What stays on your device
Your best score, streak, stamps, unlocked planes, rival name and settings are saved only on your phone. They never leave it, and deleting the app deletes them. Nothing you type into the game (like a rival's name) is sent anywhere.
What we collect
Anonymous gameplay events — for example that a run started, how it ended, or that a stamp was earned — so we can see which parts of the game work and which don't. These events carry a random install identifier, not your name, email, contacts or precise location.
If you send us a support message, we keep that message and the address you wrote from so we can answer you.
Ads
Paper Bird shows a rewarded video only when you choose to watch one for an extra life. Ads are served by a third-party network, which may use your device's advertising identifier to limit repeats and measure views. You can reset or limit that identifier in your phone's settings, and the game works fully without ever watching an ad.
Daily challenge
When you play the daily challenge, the app fetches the day's puzzle seed from our server and sends back your score with the same random identifier so it can appear in the day's results. No account is needed.
Children
Paper Bird is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, write to us and we will delete it.
Your choices
You can turn off analytics in Settings inside the game, decline every ad, and delete all local data by uninstalling. To ask what we hold about your install identifier, or to have it erased, email us.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and the app will point you here.
